About Life-force Movement

A signature practice for awakening the body’s innate vitality — built on the foundation of Hatha Yoga.

Life-force Movement is Victor Chng’s signature methodology — a cohesive practice that integrates the energetic principles of Yoga, Qigong and ancient internal cultivation to awaken vitality, clarity and inner stillness.

“Life-force Movement is based on Hatha Yoga. It is my foundation preparation for the body for energy cultivation.” — Victor Chng

Hatha Yoga: the foundation

Hatha Yoga is not the destination — it is the preparation. Through grounded, therapeutic movement, the body develops the postural strength, flexibility, breath control and internal awareness required for deeper energy work.

A typical beginner starts at the feet — training the heels, the balls and the arches. A great deal of the body’s weight rests through the heels, so grounding them properly is essential before any movement is built on top. A pair of strong, well-grounded feet gives the legs, hips and spine their strength, setting the body up to rise and move with power.

Only once the body is prepared can the practice safely progress toward breath retention, chakra activation, and the internal cultivation that lies at the heart of Life-force Movement.

The path of cultivation

Life-force Movement unfolds as a progression — each stage preparing the body and mind for the next.

01

Prepare Your Body

Hatha Yoga builds strength, flexibility and postural stability — the ground for everything that follows.

02

Cultivate Your Breath

Conscious breathing and breath retention deepen internal awareness and begin to move energy through the body.

03

Awaken Your Energy

Energetic awareness, chakra activation and spontaneous movement (Ananda Tandava) arise as the practice matures.

One practice, many traditions

Life-force Movement draws the timeless principles of several lineages into a single, practical method:

  • Hatha Yoga — the foundational preparation of the body.
  • Qigong & Hunyuan Taiji — internal arts that cultivate and circulate qi.
  • Tibetan breathwork — for internal cleansing and opening energy locks.
  • Ananda Tandava (Shiva Dance) — the sacred spontaneous movement of awakened energy.
